Datacenter In A Box

I'm hoping that eventually my Xen configuration matures to the point where I have what I call a Datacenter In A Box, where it's a self-contained set of DomU systems with its own LDAP authentication, DNS servers & a NAT.
The system I'd want to run this on would look something like the following :
- 8 Cores (Dual Quad Core Intel Xeon)
- >= 2TB RAID 6 w/hot swappable drives
- 24GB RAM
Currently something like this can be had for ~$1,500 - $2,000 from a commercial vendor.
