Verizon Wireless

Thanks to my employer (& the fact that I'm on-call) I've been blessed with a Verizon Wireless UM175 USB modem. This allows me to connect to work by virtue of the Internet.

I asked for this particular modem since it's compatible with Mac OS X & GNU/Linux, specifically CentOS.

You can obtain the software from Verizon at the following website :

• http://vzam.net/download/supported.aspx

You'll be prompted to enter the phone number associated with the device to download, but I've found that any Verizon Wireless number will work.

Installation is a breeze once you have the .dmg file.
