Yogurt Smoothie

This recipe makes a bit more than a pint of delicious smoothie. I typically use frozen strawberries or blueberries... though any berry or berry mix works pretty well.

If you're using fresh berries then use ice cubes instead of water. DON'T use both ice & frozen berries, it's far too cold... or maybe I'm a wuss.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of frozen berries
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of fat free milk
  • 1/4 cup of fat free yogurt
  • 1 banana

Mixing

I typically put the solids in first, followed by the yogurt & then water and milk. Toss all of this into the blender & use the food processor speed, if you have it... otherwise just use the slowest you have. I've found that using the pulse button also makes this alot easier.

Mixing typically takes about 20 seconds.
